New Retirement Illustrator

Merrill Lynch created the New Retirement Illustrator to compare the “old retirement” to the “new retirement”.

The Illustrator is not a full fledged calculator.  However, it is an effective, interactive, graphic tool to let you enter the information about your retirement plans.  It allows you to enter information about continuing to work after your formal retirement.  This allows you to see the impact of a retirement job on your retirement finances.  And you will see the impact is substantial!

This is a very effective “what if” tool to test various scenarios. 

I recommend that you click the Disclosures and Assumptions link at the bottom of the New Retirement Illustrator to read the assumptions on which the Illustrator is built.
